Hey diehards. Thanks for everyone's advice this year. I had a lot of fun.

2012 goes in the books as one of the more frustrating ones. My team #1 in my sig lost in the semi finals of the playoffs because I switched my kicker. Of course, yesterday my team scored more points than every other team which means my team would have won the championship.....and my car got rear-ended yesterday on the way to the mall. Talk about an expensive day.

I took two, 3rd place finishes out of 4 leagues. And i'm one of six teams remaining in my $2400 pot survivor league (with the 49ers as my pick in week 17 vs. Cardinals).

Hopefully next year turns out better. Everone be safe and have a great holiday season.

I had two teams playing yesterday and sadly they both lost.  Team 2 in my sig had an uncanny knack for going against a team when it had it's highest scoring game of the year or at least dramatically outscored it's average, and yesterday was no different.  I think everyone on my opponent's team scored a TD with Brees and Roddy leading the onslaught.  Having Nicks pull another no-show and Foster leave the game with an irregular heartbeat didn't help, but my opponent outscored his projection by so much I don't think it would have mattered.  So, even though I was the highest-scoring team in the league the whole year, I couldn't make the real playoffs or even win the 1st pick in next year's draft by winning the consolation bracket.  All is not lost though as I have some good keeper options for next year (Ryan, Foster, Lynch, CJ2K, Harvin, Nicks) so I have the foundation for another good team.  Team 3 in my sig was going for the repeat but fell flat.  Maclin, Garcon, and Brady were the only ones I had do anything, and my opponent had Romo.  My weak RB's finally caught up to me.  So close yet so far to going back-to-back.

Oh well, it's all over now.  It was a frustrating year for a couple of my teams but I'll be back with a vengeance and ready to win next season.  Plus, I'm a Redskins fan so it's hard to be too upset about FF right now.  I haven't been excited this late in the season in a long, long time.  It's amazing that we have a chance to win the NFC East after being the division's whipping boy for so long.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all.  I appreciate the advice you all have given me throughout the season.  Hopefully I was able to return the favor.  I hope you had as much fun as I did.  Enjoy these next few days with your families and be safe...we can start working on our way-too-early player rankings for 2013 in a few days

Thanks for all your advice too. This has been a frustrating year...finished 4-9 and 9th place. Was 7th overall in points but had most points scored against.

I was just looking at my team...an I just can't believe how I finished when I had the following:

2 QBs in top 15 (Ryan, 4th overall, and Flacco 15th)
2 RBs in top 5 (Rice 4th and Martin 3rd overall)
2 WRs in top 10 (Dez 4th and Julio 9th overall)

This week in the consolation game...which means nothing...I scored 207 points!!

Well, here's to looking to next year!
